FRAUD - DISGUSTING - DISCRIMINATION I am absolutely appalled with the service I have received from Nuffield health. As they market themselves as a expensive premium gym you would think they would care about the customer, sadly no. They don’t care at all. I followed the cancellation link on the Nuffield website to cancel my membership due to not being able to cover the cost due to taking on extra financial costs because of family losing jobs due to covid. I also have personal health issues leading to me needing to take extra caution. I used the facility mostly to swim and didn’t feel comfortable using that during these times. After requesting my cancellation i had an automated response that stated if I haven’t heard anything from them to take it as the cancellation has gone through. I then looked and two days later the payment had left my account? After emailing head office they merely stated they didn’t receive my email and passed me across to my local branch. My local branch informed me that I was unable to cancel my membership because o am not pregnant and still have a job. I stayed my circumstances and explained my frustration towards the company and the lack of communication I received in regards to my cancellation request. Since then we have been in an email battle where they have stated I would need to pay to get a letter from my gp to “prove” my circumstances. I thought this was disgusting I had already expressed my financial situation and they simply ignored my request. I know they can cancel the memberships as my colleague had hers cancels due to a break clause in the contract that if the gym was closed for over 30 days you can cancel the membership. Surly they should be able to understand my situation and understand that they have failed to contact me. I feel discriminated due to the fact I’m a young adult and that they can bully me into not taking this further. I have requested a subject access request which was also ignored.I just want this hell to be over and my membership to be cancelled because even now it’s been froze I would never store foot into the company due to the horrible service i have received.

Tried to arrange a breast scan for my wife who has been told by her GP she needs an ultra sound examination. After several phone calls to reception and radiology department and having organized, at their request, a referral from the GP was told they couldn't/wouldn't do it as she was "symptomatic". Presumably they only deal with well people! Cherry picking or what? They let slip they don't have a consultant to review the scan. Firstly they must have known this at the beginning and secondly no consultant so what are they there for? Well people only!Complete waste of time.

Nuffield Tunbridge Wells Podiatrist…

Nuffield Tunbridge Wells Podiatrist terrible.I went for an in grown nail surgery end of 2019 with Suzanne Taylor, unfortunately it started to grow and hurt again in the same place of the surgery. DR. Taylor said she couldn't guarantee the success so I needed to pay again for consultancy, etc.. I felt so disappointed after around £1,000 in expenses. Almost two years have elapsed and this is getting worse, I am looking for a different option

Awful customer service

I had a membership enquiry, haviing emailed the membership email x2 with no response I finally picked up the phone and dailled the mebership enquiry number 03333557846 - a rude and extremely unhelpful woman responded, offering no assistance or remedial remedy for my membership enquiry. So, based on the disorganisation and rudeness to a potential customer, I highly suggest that you dont join this gym network

Appalling customer service

Treatment itself was not satisfactory, however the customer service experience has been one of the worst I have ever experienced! I have spent an hour this morning on numerous calls trying to pay their invoices - people have no idea how to deal with a simple solution, provide wrong information and the last person I spoke to was just plain rude. So many companies have managed to seamlessly work from home and provide customer service support - Nuffield have been the worst I have had the displeasure of dealing with!

Impressed by Hereford Nuffield

I was fortunate to get a hip replacement in February 2020 just before lockdown when physiotherapist and hydrotherapy stopped and gyms closed. Fortunately we live on a bridle path so I was able to sort my own rehab. The operation was great at the time and has remained so. The food was excellent. Staff morale was high. All this paid for by the NHS as a Waiting List Initiative. I am a retired GP but if I wasn’t happy I would say so.

This is meant to be a private professional service but I’m truly lost for words at what an utter shambles it’s been. I sent them my referral I needed to see a neurosurgeon and have some imaging done of my neck. My referral letter clearly stated this. I was booked in to see a neurosurgeon (so they said) but when I received a call from this consultants PA I find out he isn’t in fact a neurosurgeon at all and it’s not the right department for me. I’ve called Nuffield over and over, left messages and I’m still waiting from a call back from last week. This is a private service I am paying for but it’s just a complete joke of a service. No one answers the phones, no one returns your calls and then I’m booked into completely the wrong department. What’s even more concerning is that after so many bad reviews no one ever responds to them. That speaks volumes as any company worth any of your time would be troubled to see so many bad reviews, this one clearly doesn’t deem it important. So annoyed of being passed from pillow to post and no one seems to know what they’re doing. I had a very young girl firstly take one of my calls when I finally got through to someone and after listening to a lot of “emmm’s” I felt like I was on the phone from one of the cast of TOWIE. You want to charge private prices then offer a private service, this is worse than the NHS.

Unimpressed

Unimpressed with the poor standard of admin and communication at Nuffield hospital Clifton Bristol. Conflicting information and I had to chase and chase to get a date for covid test.It would be so much better if explanatory leaflet was issued at initial consultation and that what information I was given then was accurate. I wish I'd found another provider. Oh and one of the receptionists when I attended initially was unnecessarily rude.I can but hope my cataract surgery is more efficient.

Unethical and improper behaviour by Nuffield Hospital Exeter .

Hi,I had a consultation with a Urologist at the Nuffield Exeter hospital last year, who promised to investigate my prostate complain, where others had failed and I was promised a thorough search& tests through fresh eyes of my symptoms and diagnose why I was still suffering.I am shocked to hear from him that he simply reviewed my existing medical records and concurred with previous results. So I continued to suffer because he had reneged on his commitment to conduct a new independent investigation to determine why I was still in pain,He then had the audacity to send me an invoice for his Consultantion fee, which I protected and refused to pay.He therefore engaged a debt collection agency to chase me for the amount of his fee and then he from the Nuffield Exeter hospital send me a fake unexecuted County Count Summons for the amount concerned. His summons had not been authorised by the Exeter County Court and he was therefore wrong for doing this and I complained to the debt collection agency. The next I heard was that the summons had hastily been withdrawn and the debt collection agency has cancelled any action admitting that it was improper and unethical for the consultant to send this fake intimidating summons to me.Unfortunately my wife was externally unset and worried about potential court action and she had many sleepless nights, even though I tried to reassure her that the summons was not authentic. So I wrote to the hospital director requesting and explanation and an apology for my wife.He refused to even acknowledge that this fake summons emanated from his hospital and I therefore concluded that the Nuffield Hospital condone this method of debt collection.I have therefore reported this to the Nuffield Head office as well as the GMC because it is for courts to execute and post summons direct and that trading standards as well as the courts take a dim view of this unethical conduct. We should expect better from reputable Hospitals and my wife deserves a formal apology for all the stress and anxiety she was subjected to.I sincerely hope it is forthcoming and that Nuffield distance themselves from this improper conduct in the future.
